meet miss KatyaKatya Strelnikova was born in Moscow, Russia. She soon followed in the dancing footsteps of her mother who was a soloist with the Kirov Ballet. Upon graduation from acclaimed Perm Choreographic Academy, Katya joined the Moscow City Ballet, attaining soloist level in 1997 and danced featured roles in “Swan Lake”, “Giselle”, “Don Quixote”, “Nutcracker” and “Cinderella”.
Katya is the artistic director of Ballet Classique at N.Y.O.D. In 2013 and 2014 Ballet Classique qualified for finals in world known YAGP ballet competition and performed at Lincoln Center “Stars of Today Meet Stars of Tomorrow” Gala. Students of Ballet Classique were recognized by and accepted to summer intensive programs of Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Kirov Ballet Academy , Joffrey Ballet School, Gelsey Kirkland Academy. Her students have been accepted to number of prestigious schools like Buttler University, The University of Utah, Rutgers University, Adelphi University and many more. Every year Ballet Classique’s students perform Ballet Production at the recital. Productions included parts from "Don Quixote", “Le Corsaire", "La Bayadere", “Giselle", "Sleeping Beauty", "Dr. Aibolit", "Coppelia", "Swan Lake", "Nutcracker”. Katya teaches Ballet, Pointe and Contemporary dance. |
